To move forward, the project needs support among researchers, public and private foundations, politicians, industry, and many other stakeholders.

The board will be expanded as the community grows. There will be on-line meetings and workshops to work out the next steps, including identifying funding opportunities for the expedition, finding a suitable ship, and constituting the scientific board that will choose the participants and determine the route.
